An Outline World Map with Automatic Colouring of Countries

allows you to specify which countries to paint what colours, and generates for you a map like this:

You may use the script which does the colouring. The scripts create map images which may be copied freely.

The outline map which the script uses is based on this free outline map of the world, made available by "Maps & Graphics" of Atlanta, GA.

The sample map above shows countries with hereditary heads of state. Yellow – empire, purple – kingdoms, pink – grand duchy, orange – principalities, blue – commonwealth realms, green – sultanates, light green – emirates, grey – countries whose head of state happens to be the son of a previous head of state.
