From the series "European History", published in London by Rivington, Percival & Co. This is "period IV" of the series, covering the dates 1494-1598.

The monochrome plates are integrated with the text, and measure about 85mm by 150mm. The colour plates are larger, the largest being 243mm by 165mm. These measurements are taken from the black borders.
