This work was printed by S. Gosnell, Little Queen Street, London for John Cary of 161 [The] Strand, London, in 1817.
Most of it is text, detailing English coach routes.
This copy was then bound in full leather by J. Winstanley, of St. Anns Churchyard in Manchester. In 1835 it became the property of the antiquary Thomas Bateman of Middleton Hall (by Youlgrave [now Youlgreave]) in the County of Derby.
The plate of roads measures 387 x 506 mm. The plate of England & Wales measures 300 x 180 mm. The plates of regions of interest measure 234 x 184 mm. All these measurements include the margins of the plates.
